Ocean Explorers

4th class have really enjoyed exploring 'The Good, The Bad + The Ugly Deep Sea Species' as part of the Explorers Education Programme. We learned so much about the incredible fish species found in the different layers of our Oceans.
The ocean water column is made up of five zones: The sunlight zone (epipelagic), the twilight zone (mesopelagic), the midnight zone (bathypelagic), the abyssal zone (abyssopelagic) and the hadal zone (trenches).
As part of the programme, following our learning, we worked in small groups to do our own research and then presented our fantastic findings and displays to our school.
