Engineer’s Week- Mechanical Hand Workshop

4th class enjoyed a visit to Balbriggan Library as part of Engineer's week to learn about Mechanical Hands. 
During the workshop with ‘Anyone for Science’, the students made their own mechanical hand model as well as learning what an Engineer does, how the tendons and muscles in our hands work and how Bioengineers combine this knowledge to make mechanical hands with increased movement and function.
A great morning out for 4th class to celebrate Engineer’s Week 2025.
