Hats for Haiti Day

Memory Lane > Events

On Tuesday 12 January, a devastating earthquake shook an already struggling Haiti. However, this catastrophe was met by considerable generosity, including a sizeable donation from Balrothery N.S. of over € 1200. This light of hope for Haiti came in the form of a school day called ‘Hats for Haiti’ on Friday 29 January. Children and staff made a donation of €2 and wore a variety of hats, ranging from santa hats to cowboy hats for the entire school day. Some children even designed and created their own unique hats. It was a fun filled day for children and teachers alike. We are proud to have been able to help the distressed nation of Haiti and we hope and pray that they find comfort from all corners of the world.
